Well we decided to start this blog (tang) thing to let you not only into our lives a little bit. But also into our minds, which is sometimes very hilarious. Lets Start by telling you a little bit about Us.

I'm the Bigger Younger Sister. I'm also the crazy wild one so when I design it's more of an artistic journey. While my sister is more of the calm, stylish, sophisticated artist. This is how we came up with the name Unique Sisters Designs.
We are originally from the Buckeye State and moved to the Peach state in 2010. We started off designing jewelry before we moved here. In 2011 I participated in a fashion show where we vended as a jewelry designer, but I also walked the runway as a model. That was so not for me, I almost busted my a**. But it gave me an insight into the fashion world. An up close view of behind the scenes and I loved every bit of it. We also thought it was time to add some newness to our business so I came up with clothing. Now at first my sister was like ( I don't know) because she didn't know how to sew but I told her lets see the reaction with a couple of pieces and go from there. So that's what we did. After that she started to learn how to sew and or designs came to life. Now once we branched out to clothing it made us take a deep look into our name. We started thinking about all the other women we come across and how we are all unique in our own right. And how we can express ourselves through the fashion we wear daily. For example my clothes change based on my moods. Sexy I might have on a body con or a mid drift with high waist jeans or skirt. Then when I'm not feeling it you'll catch me in raggedy sweats or leggings. Now other's may be afraid to do any of that, Why? Because other's are scared to be who they are. Afraid of the stereotypes and the body shaming they may receive. The Myth that big girls should wear all black (F that). So we set off to change the view of Fashion to bring dramatics, sexy, and class to the Plus size fashion world . Boy was that s*** hard ! we will get into that part later just know the fashion industry ain't always pretty.
On April 21,2012 we participated in our 1st fashion Show with Future Visions. The owner seen in us something we hadn't even seen yet. She believed in us before we were even sure yet. One thing I know now is Mrs April was so right and we will forever be thankful for that push she gave us because after that show within a 1 1/2 years we were all over the world. From La to Arkansas to Virginia doing shows, showcasing our Plus size fashion to the world.
But this was far from easy. It was a challenge with me having lupus and my sister being a single mother of 3. But we had support, love, and guidance along the way.
